Hurricane roofing in Fort Lauderdale

Built for Fort Lauderdale weather

Fort Lauderdale falls within the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone that covers Broward County, where roof products need specific approval and installation follows strict rules. Every system we install here is approved for the HVHZ.

Homes near the beach and along the canals also face constant salt air and stronger wind. We go over how each roof type fits your home, then file the permit with the city or county, whichever covers your address, and schedule the inspections.

Hurricane roofing questions

Good to know

What does the HVHZ mean for my new roof?

It means stricter product approval and installation rules than anywhere else in Florida. We only use systems approved for the zone and follow the code at every step.

Which roof should I choose?

All of our systems are approved for the code here. The right one depends on your home, budget and look, and we compare them side by side at the estimate.

How long does it take?

That depends on your roof size, the system you choose and the permit office. As soon as the permit is approved, your account manager sends you the schedule and checks in as the work moves along.

Does a new roof help with insurance?

Your insurance agent can tell you whether a wind-mitigation inspection makes sense once the roof is done.
